Programme Outline

10 October 2026

Time Session Venue
Morning Main Forum Room A278, Lee Shau Kee Science and Technology Building
14:00 Session 1 · Foundation Models

From language understanding and generation to reasoning, interaction and complex task handling, foundation models continue to expand AI’s capabilities. This session brings together researchers’ different perspectives to explore key questions in model development through exchanges on methods and practical experience.

Room A278, Lee Shau Kee Science and Technology Building
Session 2 · Auditory and Visual Perception

Identifying useful cues in auditory and visual signals and understanding scenes, objects and behaviours remain ongoing challenges in perception research. This session connects researchers from universities and research institutes to discuss developments in perception technology and further possibilities for intelligent systems to understand the real world.

Multifunction Hall, 2/F, FIT Building
Session 3 · Agents and Safety

As agents enter open, dynamic task environments, they must handle continuous decision-making, tool use and interaction with people and environments. This session brings agents and safety into a shared discussion, exploring how intelligent systems can become more capable and more trustworthy.

Lecture Hall, 4/F, Tsinghua University Art Museum

11 October 2026

Time Session Venue
09:00 Session 4 | AI Foundations and AI4Math

Mathematics provides AI with theoretical language and methodological foundations, while AI brings new tools and questions to mathematical research. This session brings together scholars in AI and mathematics to connect disciplinary perspectives and research methods and exchange directions for further exploration.

Room A278, Lee Shau Kee Science and Technology Building
Session 5 | Human–Machine Hybrid Intelligence and Multimodal Information Processing

How text, images and sound can be understood and integrated, and how human experience and judgement can work with intelligent systems’ analytical capabilities, are becoming important research questions. This session focuses on human–machine hybrid intelligence and multimodal information processing, moving from information understanding towards collaborative decision-making.

Multifunction Hall, 2/F, FIT Building
14:00 Session 6 | Embodied Intelligence

Embodied intelligence concerns how agents learn and adapt through continuous interaction with their environments, connecting AI, robotics and cognitive science. This session brings together researchers to discuss the challenges of enabling intelligent systems to understand the physical world and carry out real-world tasks.

Room A278, Lee Shau Kee Science and Technology Building
Session 7 | Embodied Intelligence Entrepreneurs’ Forum

Moving embodied intelligence from the laboratory into real-world settings involves technical, product, engineering and application challenges. This session invites company founders to share observations from practice, bringing industry experience and academic discussion together to explore practical paths for embodied intelligence.

Multifunction Hall, 2/F, FIT Building

Programme information and participant roles are based on the organiser’s announcement. All times are Beijing time (UTC+8).
