Professor James Tsoi is an Associate Professor in Dental Materials Science and Assistant Dean (Innovation) at HKU Faculty of Dentistry. He received BSc in Applied and Analytical Chemistry and PhD in Dental Materials Science, all from HKU. He also holds the Fellowship of Advanced HE (FHEA), Memberships of Royal Society of Chemistry (MRSC) and British Computer Society (MBCS). In recent 5 years, James has has been awarded HKD 8M+ by Government in PI/PC capacity focusing his research on dental materials science, digital dentistry and Artificial Intelligence (AI) on smart design and manufacturing. He has authored 100+ peer-reviewed journal articles, graduated 32 MSc and 11 PhDs, and been awarded 7 times in reputable international conferences since he joined as a faculty member at HKU. He serves on the editorial boards of several SCI journals including the flagship Dental Materials, and as Hong Kong head-of-delegate in ISO/TC 106 (Dentistry).
