Course Introduction
HKU Musketeers Foundation Institute of Data Science (HKU IDS) has launched the inaugural “HKU Advanced Technology Fellowship Programme (hereinafter referred to as ATFP)”. The Programme aims to nurture a robust talent pool of innovative technology leaders, equipping them with the necessary skills to navigate the dynamic, AI-driven industrial landscape. Leveraging the University’s leading position in scientific and technological research among higher education institutions in Asia and globally, the initiative realises HKU IDS’s mission to facilitate institutional collaboration, and to turn data science into innovation and technological developments that benefit society, particularly in Hong Kong and Chinese Mainland.
This Programme comprises of 10 comprehensive modules, harnessing the pinnacle of scientific and technological resources from The University of Hong Kong and prestigious institutions such as Stanford University, University of California, Berkeley, and the National University of Singapore. The major objective of the Programme is to offer entrepreneurial fellows a wider spectrum of learning experiences that amalgamate the progression of industry, scientific research, and business strategies, thus enable them to become more internationally competitive.
Throughout this Programme, participants will have the unique chance to engage in profound interactions with globally recognised entrepreneurs, data scientists and academic mentors in various areas ranging from business, biomedicine and health, smart societies and new technology development in AI and emerging cutting-edge fields.
