About me
Professor Chen Sun is a Tenure Track Assistant Professor in the Data and Systems Engineering at the University of Hong Kong. Professor Chen Sun obtained his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering at the University of Waterloo, M.A.Sc degree in Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Toronto, and B,Eng. degree in Automation from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. Professor Chen Sun’s research aims to develop theory and computational algorithms for intelligent autonomies like autonomous vehicles, robots to actively or reactively ensure safe and strong performance guarantees at uncertain, dynamic, and interactive environments. His current research thrusts include field robotics, autonomous driving (safe planning) and in general human-CPS autonomies. Professor Chen Sun’s research has been published in world-leading journals (e.g., IEEE-TITS, IEEE-TIV, IEEE-TMECH, Engineering), as well as conferences (IROS, ITSC, ICRA).
