1. Yi Ma 马毅

Professor Yi Ma is a Chair Professor in the Musketeers Foundation Institute of Data Science (HKU IDS) and Department of Computer Science at the University of Hong Kong. He took up the Directorship of HKU IDS on January 12, 2023. He is also a Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences at the University of California, Berkeley. Professor Ma received his Bachelor’s degrees in Automation and Applied Mathematics from Tsinghua University in 1995, two Masters degrees in EECS and Mathematics in 1997, and a PhD degree in EECS from UC Berkeley in 2000. He has been on the faculty of UIUC ECE from 2000 to 2011, the principal researcher and manager of the Visual Computing group of Microsoft Research Asia from 2009 to 2014, and the Executive Dean of the School of Information Science and Technology of ShanghaiTech University from 2014 to 2017. He then joined the faculty of UC Berkeley EECS in 2018. He has published about 60 journal papers, 120 conference papers, and three textbooks in computer vision, generalized principal component analysis, and high-dimensional data analysis. He received the NSF Career award in 2004 and the ONR Young Investigator award in 2005. He also received the David Marr prize in computer vision from ICCV 1999 and best paper awards from ECCV 2004 and ACCV 2009. He has served as the Program Chair for ICCV 2013 and the General Chair for ICCV 2015. He is a Fellow of IEEE, ACM, and SIAM.

上海人工智能实验室领军科学家、主任助理。乔宇博士从事计算机视觉、深度学习、机器人等领域的研究。他开发了轨迹卷积特征、时序分割模型、中心损失、多任务级联检测等方法,显著提升了多类别行为检测分类、超大规模人像识别、复杂场景识别等任务的性能,相关技术被华为、中兴、腾讯、商汤等企业广泛使用。发表学术论文200余篇,论文累计被引两万六千余次;获授权发明专利40余项;入选万人计划领军人才,科技部中青年科技创新领军人才、中科院百人计划等;入选AI 2000人工智能全球最具影响力学者、爱思唯尔高被引学者等;十余次在ChaLearn,LSun,ActivityNet,EmotionW等国际评测中取得第一;以第一完成人获广东省技术发明一等奖、中科院卢嘉锡青年人才奖等;获人工智能旗舰会议AAAI 2021杰出论文奖。

香港中文大学信息工程系副教授,上海人工智能实验室领军科学家,香港中文大学交叉学科人工智能研究所所长。于2004年在中国科学技术大学获学士学位,2006年在香港中文大学获信息工程硕士学位,2012年在美国麻省理工学院获计算机科学博士学位。林教授的研究领域涵盖计算机视觉、深度学习、⼤数据分析等。他在CVPR、ICCV、ECCV、NeurIPS与T-PAMI等顶级会议与期刊发表逾200篇论文;在2010年获得NeurIPS的最佳学生论文奖,并在2009年与2011年获得ICCV的杰出评审员奖。他曾指导香港中文大学的研究团队参加ImageNet、ActivityNet与COCO等计算机视觉领域的主要国际竞赛,获得多个奖项。他还担任IJCV的编委,以及多次担任CVPR、ECCV、ICCV、ACM Multimedia与AAAI等主要国际会议的领域主席。林教授⼀直以来积极参与人工智能开源体系的建设和推广,他于2018年主导发起的OpenMMLab已经成为深度学习时代最具影响的计算机视觉算法开源项⽬。目前,他在领导OpenXLab开源体系,致力于在更广泛的领域构建具有活力的人工智能开放生态。

4. Yanchao Yang 杨言超

Dr Yanchao Yang is an Assistant Professor at HKU with the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and the HKU Musketeers Foundation Institute of Data Science (HKU IDS). He does research in Embodied AI and is interested in self-supervised and semi-supervised techniques that allow autonomous agents to learn at low-annotation regimes. His long-term goal is to design learning algorithms that enable autonomous agents to continuously acquire object-centric representations through active perception with multimodal signals for compositional scene understanding and reasoning. His recent effort is to leverage information-theoretic tools to promote label-efficient perception, scene representation, and policy learning for embodied intelligence. 

5. Tieyan Liu 刘铁岩

Tie-Yan Liu is a Distinguished Scientist at Microsoft Research AI4Science. He is a fellow of the IEEE, the ACM, the AAIA, and a member of the IEEE Computer Society Fellows Evaluation Committee. He is an adjunct professor at Tsinghua University (THU), Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), and Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He is also an honorary professor at Nottingham University. 

As a researcher in an industrial lab, Tie-Yan is making his unique contributions to the world. On one hand, many of his technologies have been transferred to Microsoft’s products and online services, such as Bing, Microsoft Advertising, Windows, Xbox, and Azure. On the other hand, he has been actively contributing to the academic community. Over the years, Tie-Yan and his team have contributed hundreds of high-impact papers at top conferences and journals – a good indicator of their influence and impact. He has won quite a few awards, including the best student paper award at SIGIR (2008) and ACML (2018), the most cited paper award at Journal of Visual Communications and Image Representation (2004-2006), the most cited Chinese researcher (2017-2019), China AI Leader Award – Technical Innovation (2018), and the Most Influential Scholar Award by AMiner (2007-2017). He has been invited to serve as general chair, PC chair, or area chair for a dozen of top conferences including WWW/WebConf, SIGIR, NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, IJCAI, AAAI, KDD, ACL, ICTIR, as well as associate editor/editorial board member of IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence (TPAMI), ACM Transactions on Information Systems (TOIS), ACM Transactions on Web (TWEB), Information Retrieval Journal, NeuroComputing, and Foundations and Trends in Information Retrieval. Tie-Yan Liu and his works have been reported by many International media, including National Public Radio, CNET, MIT Technology Review, and PCTech Magazine. 

6. Ping Tan 谭平

Ping Tan (Senior Member, IEEE) was an Associate Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS). From 2016 to 2018, he worked with the Qihoo 360’s AI Laboratory, Beijing, China, and helped to launch the 360 robot vacuum cleaner. He is currently an Associate Professor with the School of Computing Science, Simon Fraser University (SFU). His research interests include computer vision, computer graphics, robotics, 3-D reconstruction, image-based modeling, image and video editing, lighting, bbreak and reflectance modeling.

7. Hao Su 苏昊

Hao Su is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at the University of California, San Diego. He is the Director of the Embodied AI Lab at UCSD. He works on algorithms to model, undertand, and interact with the physical world. His interests span computer vision, machine learning, computer graphics, and robotics – all areas in which he has published and lectured extensively. He has more than 75,000 citations according to Google Scholar. Hao Su obtained his Ph.D. from Stanford in 2018. At Stanford and UCSD he developed widely used datasets and softwares such as ImageNet, ShapeNet, PointNet, PartNet, SAPIEN, and more recently, ManiSkill. He also developed new courses to promote machine learning methods for 3D geometry and embodied AI. He served as the Area Chair or Associate Editor for top conferences and journals in computer vision (ICCV/ECCV/CVPR), computer graphics (SIGGRAPH/ToG), robotics (IROS/ICRA), and machine learning (ICLR/NeurIPS).

8. Junhui Hou 侯军辉

Junhui Hou holds a B.Eng. degree in information engineering (Talented Students Program) from the South China University of Technology (SCUT), Guangzhou, China (2009), an M.Eng. degree in signal and information processing from Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU), Xi’an, China (2012), and a Ph.D. degree from the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore (2016). He joined the Department of Computer Science at CityU as an Assistant Professor in 2017 and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2023. Dr. Hou’s research interests include visual computing, e.g., image/video/3D geometry processing, analysis, and communication, graph structure learning, etc. Dr. Hou is a senior member of IEEE. 

9. Qifeng Chen 陈启峰

Dr. Qifeng Chen is an assistant professor in CSE and ECE at HKUST. He received a PhD in computer science from Stanford University in 2017, and a bachelor’s degree in computer science and maths from HKUST in 2012. His research interests include computer vision, machine learning, optimization, and computer graphics. Four of his papers were selected for full oral presentations in ICCV’15, CVPR’16, ICCV’17, and CVPR’18 (about 3% acceptance rate). In 2011, he won the 2nd place worldwide at the ACM-ICPC World Finals. He earned a gold medal at IOI 2007. 

10. Xiaoguang Han 韩晓光

Dr. Xiaoguang Han received his Ph.D. degree in computer science from The University of Hong Kong (2013-2017), his M.S. degree in applied mathematics from Zhejiang University (2009-2011) and his B.S. degree in math from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. He also spent 2 years (2011-2013) in City University of Hong Kong as a research associate. In Sep 2017, he joined The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen) and Shenzhen Research Institute of Big Data (SRIBD). His research interests include computer vision, computer graphics, human-computer interaction, medical image analysis and machine learning. He already published 19 papers at the leading conferences and journals, including SIGGRAPH, CVPR, ICCV, AAAI, ACM TOG, IEEE TVCG etc. He got the best demo award at Siggraph Asia 2013 emerging technology, one of his papers was selected as one of the notable articles of the 21st annual best of computing, one of his works has been selected as the CVPR 2019 best paper finalist (acceptance rate is around 1%), his team also got the 1st place of IEEE ICDM Global A.I. 11. Jing Liao 廖菁

Jing Liao is an Assistant Professor with the Department of Computer Science, City University of Hong Kong (CityU) since Sep 2018. Prior to that, she was a Researcher at Visual Computing Group, Microsoft Research Asia from 2015 to 2018. She received the B.Eng. degree from HuaZhong University of Science and Technology and dual Ph.D. degrees from Zhejiang University and Hong Kong UST. Her primary research interests fall in the fields of Computer Graphics, Computer Vision, Image/Video Processing, Digital Art and Computational Photography. 

12. Li Yi 弋力

Li Yi is an Assistant Professor in the Institute for Interdisciplinary Information Sciences (IIIS) at Tsinghua University. He received his Ph.D. from Stanford University, advised by Professor Leonidas J. Guibas. And he spent a wonderful time at Google as a Research Scientist after graduation, working closely with Professor Thomas Funkhouser. Prior to joining Stanford, he got his bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University. 

His recent research interests focus on 3D perception, human-robot interaction and embodied AI, with the goal of equipping robotic agent with the ability of understanding and interacting with the 3D world. 

13. Chang Liu 刘畅

Chang Liu is currently a senior researcher at Microsoft Research AI4Science (Asia). Before that, he was in Microsoft Research Asia, Machine Learning Group. He received his Ph.D. degree (with honor) in 2019 from the TSAIL Group at the Department of Computer Science and Technology of Tsinghua University, supervised by Prof. Jun Zhu. He received his B.Sc. degree in 2014 from the Department of Physics of Tsinghua University. He also visited Prof. Lawrence Carin’s group at Duke University from Oct. 2017 to Oct. 2018. 

His research interest focuses on machine learning, including Bayesian inference methods (e.g., variational inference, MCMC), generative modeling, and the interaction with scientific computing (e.g., quantum chemistry, molecular dynamics, statistical mechanics). 

14. Hengshuang Zhao 赵恒爽

Hengshuang Zhao is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science at The University of Hong Kong. His general research interests cover the broad area of computer vision, machine learning and artificial intelligence, with special emphasis on building intelligent visual systems. His research goal is to utilize artificial intelligence techniques to make machines perceive, understand and interact with the surrounding environment, and ultimately make high positive impacts on various fields. 

15. Jingbo Wang 王靖博

Jingbo Wang obtained a Ph.D. from The Chinese University of Hong Kong ( MMLAB ), supervised by Prof. Dahua Lin. Before that, he received a Master degree from Peking University in 2019, supervised by Prof. Gang Zeng, and a Bachelor degree from Beijing Institute of Technology in July 2016. 

Dr Wang is interested in computer vision, deep learning, generative AI, and character animation. Most of his research is about building up the animation of virtual characters as humans in the real world. Before this, he also did research on scene understanding with efficient model (A.K.A BiseNet V1/V2) and multi-modality input. 

16. Hongsheng Li 李鸿升

Professor Hongsheng Li received the bachelor’s degree in automation from East China University of Science and Technology, and the master’s and doctorate degrees in computer science from Lehigh University, Pennsylvania, in 2006, 2010, and 2012, respectively. From 2013-2015, he was an associate professor in the School of Electronic Engineering at University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. He is currently an associate professor in the department of Electronic Engineering at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. 

17. Jiashi Feng 冯佳时

Jiashi Feng is a research scientist at TikTok.  His research interest lies in learning intelligent models from visual data (images/videos) for understanding the complex world. His research topics include deep learning model architectures (coordinate attention, T2T-ViT, dual-path networks, DeepViT, OctConv, Metaformer), visual data representation learning (decoupled representation, source-free representation adaption) and visual generative models (MagicVideo-V1/V2, MagicAnimate).   

Prior to TikTok, he was an assistant professor at the ECE department with NUS and led the learning and vision group.   

18. Anyi Rao 饶安逸

Anyi Rao is a Postdoctoral Scholar at Stanford with Maneesh Agrawala. He studies reliable, steerable and explaniable human-centered AI for creativity, multimodality, and film, with focuses on intelligent media editing and creation, semantic and cinematic analysis, aiming to build connections between AI and humans for collaborative intelligence and unleash human creativity and productivity. His works include ControlNet, AnimateDiff, MovieNet, Virtual Studio, Shoot360, and CityNeRF, with a Marr Prize (ICCV best paper award). These works have been widely used in industry, including Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, Tencent, and more.

He received the Ph.D. at MMLab, Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2022, advised by Dahua Lin and Bolei Zhou. 19. Lijun Yu 于力军

Lijun Yu is a Ph.D. student at Language Technologies Institute, School of Computer Science, Carnegie Mellon University, working with Prof. Alexander G. Hauptmann. He is also a Student Researcher at Google, working with Dr. Lu Jiang. He graduated summa cum laude from Peking University, China, with double bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science and Economics. His research interests lie around multi-modal foundation models, especially for multi-task video generation.

20. Dan Xu 徐旦

Dan Xu is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at HKUST. He was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Visual Geometry Group (VGG) in the Department of Engineering Science at the University of Oxford, under the supervision of Prof. Andrea Vedaldi and Prof. Andrew Zisserman. He received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Trento in 2018, under the supervision of Prof. Nicu Sebe in Multimedia and Human Understanding Group (MHUG). He was a student research assistant in MMLab and the Department of Electronic Engineering at The Chinese University of Hong Kong under the supervision of Prof. Xiaogang Wang. His research foucuses on computer vision, multimedia and machine learning.

21. Tao Yu 余涛

Dr. Tao Yu is an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Department of the University of Hong Kong. He is also a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at University of Washington and a co-director of the NLP group at the University of Hong Kong. His research interest is in Natural Language Processing and Deep Learning, with a focus on designing and building conversational natural language interfaces that can help humans explore and reason over data in any application (e.g., relational databases and mobile apps) in a robust and trusted manner. He has published and served in the program committee at ACL, EMNLP, ICLR, NAACL, etc. He co-organized the Interactive and Executable Semantic Parsing workshop at EMNLP 2020.

22. Xihui Liu 刘希慧

Dr. Xihui Liu is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) and the Musketeers Foundation Institute of Data Science (IDS), The University of Hong Kong. Before joining HKU, she was a Postdoctoral Researcher at UC Berkeley working with Prof. Trevor Darrell. She received her Ph.D. degree from Multimedia Lab, The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2021 and her Bachelor’s degree from Tsinghua University in 2017. She has won several awards such as Adobe Research Fellowship 2020, MIT EECS Rising Stars 2021, CVPR 2021 Doctoral Consortium Award, WAIC Rising Star Award 2022, CVPR Outstanding Reviewers Award, and ICLR Outstanding Reviewers Award.

23. Wanli Ouyang 欧阳万里

Wanli Ouyang obtained Ph.D from the Dept. of Electronic Engineering , the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is now a professor at Shanghai AI Lab (a new and exciting research lab). He was awarded Australian Research Council Future Fellowship. His research interests include AI4Science, computer vision, and pattern recognition.

24. Qingpeng Zhang 张清鹏

Dr Qingpeng Zhang is an Associate Professor in the Musketeers Foundation Institute of Data Science and the Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacy at HKU. He received the B.S. degree in Automation from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2009, and the M.S. and the Ph.D. degrees in Systems and Industrial Engineering (minor in Management Information Systems) from the University of Arizona, in 2011 and 2012, respectively. Prior to joining HKU in 08/2023, he was an Associate Professor with the School of Data Science at The City University of Hong Kong (CityU). He previously worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Tetherless World Constellation, Department of Computer Science at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

25. Tianfan Xue 薛天帆

Professor Tianfan Xue received his Ph.D. from MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, under the supervision of William T. Freeman. Before that, Tianfan Xue received his Master of Philosophy degree from the Information Engineering Department of the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2011, and his B.E. degree from the Computer Science and Technology Department of Tsinghua University in 2009. He was a Staff Software Engineering in Google Research from 2017 to 2022. He was also a research intern at Facebook Research, Microsoft Research Redmond, Microsoft Research Cambridge, respectively in 2016, 2015, and 2014. He received outstanding reviewer awards at CVPR 2018. He also served as web chair of CVPR 2020, area chairs of WACV 2022 and CVPR 2023.

26. Lei Bai 白磊

Dr Lei Bai is a young scientist at Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. He received his PhD from the University of New South Wales, postdoctoral fellow at the University of Sydney, and worked with Professor Ouyang Wanli. He has been engaged in research on large-scale spatiotemporal machine learning and large-scale general pre-training technology for a long time. He has published more than 50 academic papers in Nature sub-journals and top artificial intelligence journal conferences (TPAMI, TIP, NeurIPS, CVPR, IJCAI, KDD), etc., and has been a long-term He serves as a reviewer or program committee member for relevant journal conferences, and his Google Scholar papers have been cited more than 1,100 times. He has won the 2022 World Artificial Intelligence Conference Yunfan Award, the 2020 University of New South Wales Engineering Research Excellence Award, and the 2020 Google PhD Scholarship. He is also a reviewer or project committee member of a series of famous conferences and journals, such as NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, AAAI, CVPR, ICCV, IJCAI, KDD, ECCV, TPAMI, TKDE, TIP, TMM, etc., and serves as the co-author of DICTA 2022 (Network Chair of the Australian Top Pattern Recognition Conference).

27. 潘亮

Professor Pan Liang is currently a young researcher at the Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. He obtained his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2019. Thereafter, from 2020 to 2023, he served as a researcher at Nanyang Technological University S-Lab. Pan Liang’s research focuses on computer vision, 3D point clouds and virtual digital humans. He has published more than 30 papers in top conferences and journals, and according to Google Scholar, his papers have been cited more than 1800 times. In addition, he is actively involved in the academic community and serves as a reviewer for several well-known conferences and journals in the fields of computer vision, machine learning, and robotics, including CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, TPAMI, IJCV, ICML, NeurlPS, and ICLR.

28. 谢伟迪

Dr Weidi Xie is an associate professor of electronic information and electrical engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and young scientist at Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. Mainly researching computer vision, multi-modal self-supervised learning, AI4Science, AIGC. He has published more than 45 papers and has been cited by Google Scholar more than 9,000 times. Open source standard data collections in multiple fields, including VGGFace2, Voxceleb, VGGSound, etc. Professor Xie is also a winner of the National Natural Science Foundation of China’s Outstanding Youth Science Fund (overseas), a winner of the Shanghai High-Level Talent Program (overseas), and the youth project leader of the Ministry of Science and Technology’s Science and Technology Innovation 2030 – “New Generation Artificial Intelligence” major project, Alibaba Host of the Baba Innovation Research Program; recipient of the first batch of Google-DeepMind full scholarships, China Oxford Scholarship Fund (Magdalen Award) scholarship recipients, and Oxford University Engineering Department Outstanding Award recipients. In addition, he has won the Best Paper Award and Best Poster Award, the Best Journal Paper Award and the Most Cited Author (Taylor & Francis Biannual Best Article) from many top international conferences and seminars, and has served as a researcher in the fields of computer vision and artificial intelligence. 30. Song Han 韩松

Professor Song Han is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research focuses on efficient deep learning computing. He proposed “deep compression” technique that can reduce neural network size by an order of magnitude without losing accuracy, and the hardware implementation “efficient inference engine” that first exploited pruning and weight sparsity in deep learning accelerators. His team’s work on hardware-aware neural architecture search (ProxylessNAS, Once-for-All Network (OFA), MCUNet) was integrated in Facebook, Amazon, Microsoft, Intel, SONY, received the first place in six low-power computer vision contest awards in flagship AI conferences. Song received Best Paper awards at ICLR and FPGA, multiple faculty awards from Amazon, SONY, Facebook, NVIDIA and Samsung. Song was named “35 Innovators Under 35” by MIT Technology Review for his contribution on “deep compression” technique that “lets powerful artificial intelligence (AI) programs run more efficiently on low-power mobile devices.” Song received the NSF CAREER Award for “efficient algorithms and hardware for accelerated machine learning” and the IEEE “AIs 10 to Watch: The Future of AI” award.
 

29. Jiajun Wu 吴佳俊

Professor Jiajun Wu is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and, by courtesy, of Psychology at Stanford University. Before joining Stanford, he was a Visiting Faculty Researcher at Google Research, working with Noah Snavely. He finished his PhD at MIT, advised by Bill Freeman and Josh Tenenbaum, and his undergraduate degrees at Tsinghua University, working with Zhuowen Tu.

30. Xinlei Chen 陈鑫磊

Dr Xinlei Chen is a Research Scientist at Meta FAIR Labs. He obtained his PhD from Carnegie Mellon University’s Institute of Language Technology with a Ph.D., studying under Professor Abhinav Gupta, majoring in computer vision. He graduated from the Computer Science Department of Zhejiang University, where he studied under Professor Cai Deng. Before graduating with a Ph.D., he interned in the Google Cloud AI department, in the project team of Li Feifei and Li Jia. His research interests focus on pre-training, especially pre-training with self-supervised or multi-modal visual representations. He has won the CVPR Best Paper Honor Award and the ICML 2021 Outstanding Paper Honor Award. In January 2024, he, He Kaiming and Xie Saining dissected the diffusion model. The new work has just been released, proposing a highly simplified new architecture l-DAE (lowercase L), and found that in the diffusion model, the denoising process is more important than the diffusion process.

31. He Wang 王鹤

He Wang is a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Center on Frontiers of Computing Studies (CFCS) at Peking University, where he leads Embodied Perception and InteraCtion (EPIC) Lab. His research interests span 3D vision, robotics, and machine learning. His research objective is to endow embodied agents working in complex real-world scenes with generalizable 3D vision and interaction policies. Prior to joining Peking University, his received his PhD degree from Stanford University advised by Prof. Leonidas J. Guibas in 2021 and his bachelor’s degree from Tsinghua University in 2014.

34. Zheng Shou 寿政

Dr Mike Shou is a Research Scientist at Facebook AI in Menlo Park. He is a Fellow of National Research Foundation Singapore. He will join National University of Singapore as a tenure-track Assistant Professor in 2021. He obtained his Ph.D. degree at Columbia University, working with Prof. Shih-Fu Chang.

32. Hansen Zhong 钟翰森

Dr Hansen Zhong is a young researcher at Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. He obtained a bachelor’s degree from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2017 and continued to study for a doctoral degree. The instructor was Professor Lu Chaoyang. Completed the “Jiu Zhang” and “Jiu Zhang No. 2” optical quantum computing prototypes, realizing the superiority of optical quantum computing for the first time. In the Gaussian Bose sampling task, the experiment completed the Gaussian Bose sampling of 113 photons, achieving 10% better performance than the classical supercomputer. The acceleration of ^24 proves that quantum computers can complete some tasks that classical computers cannot complete. He has published more than 25 relevant articles and applied for more than 12 relevant national invention patents. During his Ph.D., he won the President’s Special Award of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and his doctoral dissertation was also rated as an outstanding doctoral dissertation by the University of Science and Technology of China. 33. Xiaoyuan Yi 矣晓沅

Xiaoyuan Yi is a researcher in the Social Computing Group at Microsoft Research Asia. Obtained a PhD and a bachelor’s degree from the Department of Computer Science and Technology of Tsinghua University in 2021 and 2016 respectively. He is one of the recipients of the CCF Award in 2021, one of the “Top Ten People of the Year” at Tsinghua University in 2014, and the winner of the Tsinghua Undergraduate Scholarship in 2015. . While at Tsinghua University, he led the development of the online Chinese classical poetry generation system “Nine Songs”. This work has been featured on CCTV programs such as “Wit” and “The Reader”, and has received thousands of comments from users in hundreds of countries and regions. Thousands of uses. Currently, his research interests are in natural language generation. 34. Xufang Luo 骆煦芳

Xufang Luo is a researcher in Microsoft Research Asia, Shanghai, China. Her research interests focus on machine learning algorithms, deep reinforcement learning algorithms, machine learning for interdisciplinary research.

36. Chaochao Lu 陆超超

Chaochao Lu is currently working at the Shanghai AI Laboratory. He obtained his PhD degree from Machine Learning Group at the University of Cambridge, where he was co-supervised by Prof. Zoubin Ghahramani and Prof. José Miguel Hernández-Lobato, advised by Prof. Carl Edward Rasmussen, and also jointly supervised by Prof. Bernhard Schölkopf and Dr. Michael Hirsch at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems under the Cambridge-Tübingen PhD Programme.

Previously he obtained the M.Phil degree in Multimedia Laboratory at the Chinese University of Hong Kong under the supervision of Prof. Xiaoou Tang who is also the founder of SenseTime. He also worked closely with Prof. Chen Change Loy and Prof. Xiaogang Wang. Before that, he received the B.Eng degree in Software Engineering from Nanjing University.
